Minds First offers a variety of health and wellbeing workshops, groups and courses, based on the practice of mindfulness; an evidence-based practice proven to increase resilience, productivity, creativity, and improve working relationships, whilst reducing stress, anxiety, depression and burnout.

Workshops

Introduction to Mental Health & Mindfulness

A bite-size workshop to equip employees with the knowledge and skills to take care of their mental health and overcome stigma allowing them to have open conversations at work. It will help to raise awareness, enabling employees to recognise, manage and support positive mental health in the workplace. Employees will be educated on the history, science, and evidence supporting mindfulness and will be given practical tips on how to incorporate mindfulness into the working day. Participants will also be provided with a ‘Supporting your Mental Health’ workbook after attending the course. 

All workshops finish with a guided mindfulness meditation, providing your employees with a period of relaxation and reflection; a welcome change from their normal busy working days.

Mental Health & Mindfulness

This comprehensive workshop includes all elements of the bite-size’ workshop as well as interactive exercises to further strengthen employees’ confidence in recognising and discussing mental health at work; supporting them to have more open conversations as well as providing extra mindfulness exercises, in order to help participants take better care of their mental health and wellbeing at work. Participants will also be provided with a ‘Supporting your Mental Health’ workbook after attending the course. 

All workshops finish with a guided mindfulness meditation, providing your employees with a period of relaxation and reflection; a welcome change from their normal busy working days.

Groups

Weekly Mindfulness Meditation Group

A weekly session using mindfulness meditation to help achieve an optimal state of awareness, improving concentration, productivity and focus.

The sessions incorporate a mixture of meditations based on bringing awareness to breath & body, mindful movement and visualisation; providing a space for people to relax, de-stress and take time out to recharge, either during their lunch break or at the end of the working day.

Weekly Wellbeing Group

A holistic approach to physical and mental health, including a variety of practices and teachings to support the wellbeing of both body and mind. Themes will include mindfulness, diet & exercise, sleep and gratitude journaling.

Courses

Eight Week Mindfulness Course

The 8-week course is a fusion of the key elements from MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) and MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy), exploring mindfulness in greater depth. It is particularly helpful for those who experience difficulties with anxiety or recurrent depression. You can also expect to increase productivity, concentration and resilience to stress, whilst reducing burn out and absenteeism.

The practices learnt through formal mindfulness meditations will gradually become embedded into everyday life enabling people to cope better with life’s ups and downs, leading to a greater sense of calm, clarity and well-being.

The course requires home practise, using provided audio meditation recordings, as well as written exercises.
